31 July 2011Thanks Buggenhout!We had a great time at Buggenhout Zomert. The weather was lousy as hell, but nevertheless there was quite a crowd and boy did they rock! We turned the place upside down, and met some great enthousiasm and ambiance, so we'd like to thank Buggenhout for a terrific night. Next stop is Sint Jansteen for Mart Rock Steen 2011, which we will headline. | |

24 June 2011LEGENDS of ROCK Tribute TourComing winter, 1984 will be one of the tribute bands to travel around Holland as part of the LEGENDS of ROCK Tribute Tour. On the 25st of november, the venture to be is Metropool in Hengelo! This place has great atmosphere, and we're pretty sure it will bring out the best in us. Other tribute acts to roam the stage this night are Pearl Jam tribute BackAlive, Toto tribute TOTOLICIOUS and coverband PitchLight. More tour dates to come. | |

Reason for this is the fact that our keyboard player Andras is expecting an addition to his family in july. 17 November 2009Charity event "Het Glazen Huis"1984 will participate in the upcoming charity event "Het Glazen Huis". On the 21st of november, two dj's of radio station LocalFM will lock themselves up for 24 hours in order to raise funds for charity. On the 22nd of november, during an intimate half hour concert of 1984, they will be released from their temporary 'prison'.
The house is located at "the Butler" in Etten-Leur and showtime is at 14.00 hours. | |

9 October 200980's Flashback Tour1984 is proud to announce their tour throughout the Netherlands: The 80's Flashback Tour. Together with the excellent (and No.1) U2 Tribute "In The Name Of", 1984 will perform on various stages in the period between november 2009 and march 2010. Be sure to watch the concerts page, because the complete program will be put online as soon as possible.

1 January 2009New keyboard playerDecember last year, our keyboard player Ferencz unfortunately decided to leave us, so we had to look out for new talent to support us. Luckily, we quickly found András Incze, who also hits the right notes with the funk-soul-dance formation Lily White Biscuits. András has experience in producing housemusic, which will come in handy reproducing the trancelike ambiance of the Simple Minds anthems. | |
